Refund and cancellation policy
This draft describes the intended Paddle billing lifecycle. Professional legal review and provider approval remain launch gates.
Cancellation
An annual subscription may be cancelled before its next renewal. Cancellation prevents the next charge and does not remove access already paid for; access continues through the paid-through date.
Renewal failures and recovery
A failed renewal receives a seven-calendar-day grace period measured from the provider event time. Verified payment recovery restores paid access immediately. If payment does not recover, the Paddle-owned entitlement ends after grace and effective access falls back to any independently available access. We do not treat a scheduled cancellation as an immediate loss of paid-through access.
Refunds and disputes
Refund requests are assessed by Openshaw Project Services and Paddle under the applicable transaction terms and are issued through the original Paddle payment flow when approved. A full refund ends the Paddle-owned entitlement immediately. A partial refund does not change access unless Paddle also changes or cancels the subscription. A payment dispute or chargeback suspends only the Paddle-owned entitlement while the dispute is unresolved; a verified favourable resolution may restore it when the underlying subscription remains eligible. Complimentary or Test access is independent and is not removed by a Paddle billing event.
Local rights
This policy does not exclude mandatory local rights, including any cooling-off, cancellation, refund, chargeback, or other consumer protections that apply to you. If a local rule provides a stronger right, that rule controls.
